A similar report (as no. 4408) was narrated from A'mash with this chain, except that he said:
حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرٌو النَّاقِدُ، وَإِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، وَعَلِيُّ بْنُ خَشْرَمٍ، كُلُّهُمْ عَنْ عِيسَى بْنِ يُونُسَ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ، بِهَذَا الْإِسْنَادِ مِثْلَهُ، غَيْرَ أَنَّهُ يَقُولُ: «إِنْ سَرَقَ حَبْلًا، وَإِنْ سَرَقَ بَيْضَةً.
"If he steals a rope, If he steal an egg."
