Sunan Ibn-e-Majah : 749
It was narrated from 'Amr bin Shu'aib from his father that his grandfather said:
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الْكِنْدِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو خَالِدٍ الْأَحْمَرُ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَجْلَانَ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ شُعَيْبٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ، قَالَ: نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنِ الْبَيْعِ وَالِابْتِيَاعِ، وَعَنْ تَنَاشُدِ الْأَشْعَارِ فِي الْمَسَاجِدِ .
The Messenger of Allah forbade buying and selling in the mosque, and reciting poetry in the mosque.
